Customer Service Representative.
What do you like most about working for NGK?
The fast-paced nature, learning opportunities and my co-workers.
What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?
That I am just a person on the phone and have no technical knowledge or experience.
What is one thing you’re learning now and why is it important?
I am learning as many aspects as possible of Caire Medical. It’s a growing part of our business that will give more opportunities to the company in the future. You can read more about Caire Medical here!
What do you think the Australian automotive industry will look like in a year’s time?
I believe the latest social movements will benefit the diversity and inclusiveness of the automotive industry.
What are must-haves on your desk (at work or home office)?
A full coffee and daily affirmation cards.
How have you overcome any challenges working in the automotive industry?
I have faced many challenges in the automotive industry over the past ten years due to being a minority. Firstly, going through a mechanic apprenticeship as the only female in the service department of my workplaces and TAFE class and then gaining experience and respect in the Spare Parts industry. I have gotten through these challenges by believing in myself, believing in my ability to be a top performer in the industry I love and by making an effort to continue gaining as much experience and knowledge that I can to keep on top of the game.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
Putting on some loud music whilst enjoying a cold one.
